The 1881 British census shows this Thomas living with his sisters Helen and Margaret and a servant at 155 King St Rutherglen. Their ages all fit with William's family. There is a photo of a Thomas and one of his son John that I expect is likely of this Thomas. On Thomas's birth record, it is noted that he is the 6th child...yet only the fourth according to our records. Another note states that there are 2 boys and a girl living so it seems that there were more births than surviving children.
