Facts and Events
Thomas and Delphia were members of the Stamping Ground Baptist church in Scott Co., Ky, from which they were dismissed in 1848. They moved to Owen Co., where he acquired land on Caney Fork. As a widow in 1860, Delphia was living in Owen Co., Rockdale post office. In 1870 she was in Scott Co. living with her son William and his wife Elizabeth. It appears that Delphia married again from this reference, "Delphia Southworth, late Sebree, and Robert B. Southworth, adm. with will of Thomas J. Sebree, annexed for a settlement" {Owen Co., Ky Settlement Bk. 1872, p. 133; 20 Apr. 1872} Thomas J.'s will, written 4 May 1859, mentioned William, Thomas Jr., Abaline, Harriet, and Almira {Owen Co., Ky, Will Bk. E. p. 160} |
