Dec 1701 Isle of Wight VA Deposition of THOMAS REEVES, age 52, states that he knoweth MICHAEL MACKQUINNY owned a certain piece of land in his lifetime and in his will gave his main plantation to his younger son BARNABY MCKQUINNY but after his death the land was found to be escheat and it is now held by said Reeves in right of his wife Elizabeth Reeves who received it for her lifetime from her husband Micheal Mackquinny. Mention is made of John Mackquinny who acted for his bro Barnaby Mackquinny as he was not of age.
