This Tom Reddin was very likely the Los Angeles, CA chief of police (FBI school 1950) before 1969 (see TV GUIDE article Nov. 1, 1969), and retired to become a TV newscaster. If so, he had three children: Thomas, Michael, and Nancy (her dau. christine one of five grandchildren to Tom). He married about 1938.

In Feb.2001 email from Ronald McClain included some data and Reddin historical stories, including the message that this Thomas Reddin was still living in Southern CA and was indeed the LA Police Chief of late 1960's and early 1970s, then became a TV commentator and an unsuccessful candidate for LA mayor.
