Was known as "son". He was named after his mother's brother Thomas Ashley Fowler (known as "uncle Tye"), and his father's brother Clint Mayo Powers. Those fellows were chums and promised to buy Son a suit of clothes if Daddy and Mamma would give Son their names. He was killed in WWII by a delayed-action bomb on Iwo Jima.
