From "Genealogy of the Parke family, nine generations from Arthur and Mary Parke, 1720-1920", by John P. Wallace:

Thomas Love was a second lieutenant in the Revolutionary War on the staff of General Samuel Cochran. The corner stone of the old homestead of Thomas Love, one mile south of Steelville, on the Octoraro Creek, still retains the inscription, T. L., 1768." Thomas Love, like his father, was a man of earnest piety and was an elder in the Fagg's Manor Church for more than 60 years. Thomas and Martha Guthrie Love had four children, of whom we have some knowledge, namely:
John, James, Robert and Ann.
