"95. Thomas (Lothrop), born Aug. 25, 1681, and married, Feb. 24, 1708-9, Lydia, daughter of Joshua and Mehetable (Smith) Abel of Norwich. She died March 22, 1752. The inventory of his estate £4452, 9s. 10d. That of Mrs. Lothrop was £5852, 6s., 10d."
Since she apparently predeceased her husband by over 20 years, it is odd that she might have had any estate of her own, much less the amount stated.
