    "Lawrence, Thomas. s. of Thomas. Bapt. at Milford, 3 Dec. 1648; d. at Stamford, 16 Aug. 1691. He m. after 1674, Hannah, widow of Caleb Knapp, and dau. of Henry Smith, both of Stamford.

    Of Stamford, will 26 July 1691; sister Rebecca 'Gampin' [Galpin], 50 shillings; dau.-in-law Hanna, 40 shillings; son-in-law Samuel Knap; kinswoman Martha Slauson, 40 shillings and land; nephew Eleazer Slauson, Jr., son of sister Mary, land; sister Sarah Scudder; nephew Jonathan Scudder; my brother-in-law Eliphalet Jones and sister Martha Jones; nephew Joseph Brown, Jr.; brother-in-law Joseph Brown, Sr.; friends Abraham Ambler and Daniel Weed, Exec'rs. Inv. 16 Aug. 1691; estate carried in his lifetime to Long Island mentioned. Son-in-law John Knap made oath to Inv. 6 Nov. 1691. Some of those named in the will were children of his mother by her subsequent marriages to Chapman and Brown."
