    Thomas Knox, eldest son of John Knox of Silvieland, died on the 15th November 1592. His free personal estate Was valued at £1556 10s., of which he bequeathed a third part to be divided among his children by his first wife. In his will are named Barbara Semple, his spouse and William Knox, his eldest son and appeirand heir; William Knox in Third and his son Thomas are witnesses.
