Thomas Orestes Kerr, is the son of Abner Abness Bailey Kerr and Mary Mercer (July 8, 1839-May 22, 1868). He is the grandson of Robert Grove Kerr and Cassandra Clairmore McCutchan. He is the great-grandson of William Kerr Sr. and Mary Ann Grove and the great-great-grandson of Robert Kerr and Elizabeth Bailey who died in Augusta County, Virginia.

T.O. Kerr Dies Suddenly
Lifetime Resident of San Antonio Succumbs Thursday at His Farm
T.O. Kerr, 65, 302 West Laurel Street, a resident of San Antonio nearly all his life, died suddenly Thursday afternoon about 4:30 o'clock on his farm near Floresville. Mr. Kerr was born in Fayette County. Funeral services will be held here at a time to be announced later. Surviving Mr. Kerr are his widow, four daughters: Miss Willie, Miss Clara Lee and Mrs. J.F. Mitchell of San Antonio and Mrs. Marshall Henson of Floresville; three sons, J.B. Kerr, Robert Kerr and T.H. Kerr; four brothers, J.L., W.B., John A. and C.G. Kerr; a sister, Mrs. Lela Price and his mother Mrs. E.A. Kerr, all of San Antonio."
