"13 Thomas Kelsey (Mark2, William1), probably second son and third child of Mark Kelsey and his first wife, Rebecca Hoskins, born Oct. 16, 1663, at Wethersfield. He resided at Windsor where he died May 9, 1715. …
Thomas13 died intestate. The records of settlement of his estate are filed at Hartford, as follows: July 5. 1715, Bond of Obadiah Spencer of Hartford, Elizabeth Kelsy and Benedict Alvord of Windsor, on estate of Thomas Kelsy. … Inventory of the estate of Thomas Kelsy of Windsor 'who dyed May ye 9th 1715,' £178-03-06, taken by Thomas Moore, Job Loomis, presented by Elizabeth Kelcy and Obadiah Spencer, Administrators. A memorandum is attached of 'Lands in Simsbery belonging to Thomas Kelsey, £6-00-00, Apr. 9, 1715(?) by Nathaniel Holcomb, Senr. and John Slater'; also a second memorandum, 'Elizabeth Kelsey administratricks objects against some perticklers.' Aug. 5, 1718 an accounting was made, in which the widow is noted as guardian of the four younger daughters, Ruth, aged 14, Hannah, 10, Rebecca, 8, Mabel, 6 years of age, an item in the account being, 'keeping two children two years until they were six years old.' This would seem to indicate that perhaps Mabel80 was a twin. On Mar. 9, 1718/9, Thomas76, a minor over 14 years of age, chose Obadiah Spencer as guardian."
