On December 18, 1804, Thomas Jameson of Washington co., VA., and wife, Rachel, to George M. Coiner, 210 acres, south side of South River, patented to John Patrick, September 19, 1793[4]. *(25) Another record shows that Thomas and Rachel Jamison sold September 16, 1793 to Mather Rhodes, 40 acres in Albemarle county, originally part of 370 acres patented to Nathan Woods on June 25, 1747, at Mechum's River and the Louisa county line[11]. A record states that Thomas Jameson removed from Augusta co., VA., to the North Fork of the Holston(Tennessee) River, whose wife was named Rachel McColloch. Her brother was John McColloch and her sister was Isabel[5]. Mr. Jamison was a sergeant in the Virginia militia[7] and fought during the Revolutionary War. Rachel's father was Lt. Thomas McColloch, born 1735 in Albemarle co., VA. and died October 12, 1780 in Rutherford co., NC. His wife, Isabella Patrick was born about 1733 and was still living after 1780 in NC. Mr. Jamison's will was dated December 10, 1823 in Washington co., VA. He names wife Rachel; grandsons-Thomas D. Davis; Willian Hayton, and Thomas Hayton; grand daughter Patsey Davis and Rachel Davis; daughters-Isabel Perry and Sally Davis; and one orphan child Polly Riddle[8].
