Two wills suggest Thomas Howe married twice: The 1635 will of William Mirriam mentioned "William Howe, my grandchild, ... and to every child of his father Thomas Howe which he had by my daughter, his late deceased wife." The 1637 will of Robert Goldston made a bequeath "unto Jane the wife of Thomas Howe of Tonbridge, clothier, and to Sara the wife of Joseph Merryam of Tewly, clothier, my sisters, ten shillings apiece." The will went on to name "William Howe, Sara the wife of Nathaniel Weller, Elizabeth the wife of Josias Johnson, Mary, Susan, and Thomas How the children of the said Thomas How ... Francys, John and Mary Johnson, the three children of the said Jane my sister by Benjamin Johnson her last deceased husband, and to Alice and Francys, the two other children of the said Jane by the said Thomas How her now husband. [S1]

He married first say 1620, (—?—) MERRIAM (d. bef 1635) daughter of William MERRIAM and Sarah BURGES?; children (prob. b. bef 1632; surname HOWE): William, Sarah (m. Nathaniel WELLER), Elizabeth (m. Josias JOHNSON), Mary, Susan, and Thomas.

He married second say 1632, Jane GOLDSTON, daughter of John GOLDSTON and Frances JEFFERIE; children (b. bef 1637; surname HOWE): Alice and Francys.
