He moved to the township of Farmington in 1783 with his wife (sister of Jonathan Knowlton) and two children. Settled on Front Lot No. 8, West Side, Now (1885) owned by Samuel Craig. Mr. Hiscock was a shoemaker, and combining his trade with his farming operations, became a wealthy farmer. He was a Selectman in 1802, and Town Treasurer in 1809. He was a charter trustee of Farmington Acadamy,but resigned the position after seven years. Mrs. Hiscock was born probably inIpswich, Mass. He removed to thetownship in 1783 with his wife, Whose maiden name was Anna Knowlton (a sister of Jonathan Knowlton, q. v), and two children, and settled on front-lot No. 8, west side, now (1885) owned by Samuel G.
