Thomas Goodacre's origins have yet to be established. His first sighting is on 24th December 1778, when he married Betty Wild at Keyworth in Nottinghamshire. In 1789, Thomas appears to have been one of the witnesses to Betty's sister Hannah's marriage in Leicester. He has yet to be traced after 1789.
