Thomas Everett is believed to have owned a fleet of Sailing Ships, carring goods from England to America. Robert Everett born in England, came to America as a stowaway, possibly on one of fathers ships. Robert settled in Rockbridge, Virginia, while living there he enlisted in the army and fought in Revolutionary War. Story tells it that he and Thomas Lockhart were in Revolutionary War together and when Thomas was seriously wounded he asked robert to return home after the war and marry his widow and take care of his son Charles Lockhart. Robert Everett's father- Thomas, was a rich man owned a country and city residence and had a street in London named after him. His son Thomas was a member of Parliament at one time.
