"Mr. Thomas Egan, of Brechin, died in the Orillia Soldiers Mml Hospit al on Friday, November 10, at 1:30 a.m. in his seventy-third year, after an illness of five weeks.

Mr. Egan was born in Trafalgar Twp., but lived most of his life in Mar a. In 1894 he was married to Catherine McLean, who predeceased him in 1921, leaving him with a family of seven children, whom he has kept together by his great home-loving nature, remarkable patience and cheerful manner. ...The funeral was held from the familly residence to St. Andrew Church, Brechin, on Monday, November 13, where requiem high mass was celebrate d...

Frank Egan, youngest son of the deceased, was organist and led the choir. ... He leaves to mourn his loss five sons and two daughters, all of whom were present in his last hours. Kenneth of Midland, Mrs. H. Eldrifg e, Uptergrove, Michael of Charlottetown, P. E. I., Leonard, Dick, Frank and Veronica of Brechin."
