Thomas Monroe, Jr. has not been Found in the l800 Census. There was only one male living in the house hold of his father Thomas, Sr. in 1800. This male was born between 1791-1800 and probably was Richard.

Possibly Thomas Jr. was living with a married sister or brother. He married Nancy Yates of North Carolina. Possibly he and maybe his brother Soloman returned to North Carolina before l800 and were both married there.

Thomas, Jr. is found in the l810 census of Chesterfield, South Carolina, with his wife and one child. His father is listed in the next house on the census record. IN l812 he moved to Tennessee where he lived until 1816 when He moved to Greene County, Mississippi Territory , settling in the area the later became Perry County, Mississippi.

We have found no land or other records indicating that Thomas Jr. ever lived in Marion County, but he died there sometime before 1850, perhaps he was visiting his children when he died.
