In 1870 Thomas resided in home of Wm E Sparks age 29 and his wife Sarah A Sparks along with his daughter Mary Comegys. Thomas bought land from Jesse Comegys and Priscilla of Frederick County VA [UC 33]. The tract was Lowes Arcadia, 363 acres. Thomas bought land from William H Comegys and his wife Sarah M of Queen Anne's County [UC112]. The tract was Boubon. Thomas Comegys residing near Prices Station was mentioned in a newspaper article listing "The old men of the county". He was watched over by his daughter Miss Mary Comegys "whose vigilance over her fathers money bags is proverbial throughout the county". Thomas served in the 35th Reg in War of 1812. That regiment was in Queen Anne's County. Others in that unit included Thomas McLoyd, Wm Reed and Wm Emory. References
