    "11. Thomas3 Briggs (William2, John1), born in Taunton 9 Sept. 1669, died there before 1 July 1746 when his will was probated. … The will of Thomas Brings was executed at Taunton 2 April 1733 and probated 1 July 1746. His wife and son James were named executors, but James only served. Beneficiaries were sons Thomas, Nathaniel, Abiell, and James; four daughters, Sarah Burt, Abigail Waldron, Jemima Crabtree, Mary Walker; and his wife, Abigail (Bristol County Probates, 1:158). Samuel Waldron and Ebenezer Peck were appointed guardians of Abigail, widow of Thomas Briggs, who was non compos mentis 'Nov. 1746' (ibid., 11:212)."
