That yr petitioners at present lay under great inconveniency for want of a Road from Just Hytes Mills to Ashbeys bent Ford on Shanando humbly pray that yr worships will order that a Waggon Road be cleared. Indenture 24 Sept. 1745 between Thomas Branson of county of Frederick , and Rebeckah, his wife, and Benjamin Borden of the part of Orange County called Augusta ... for ₤30.. sells my part of land which I have by virtue of intermarriage with Rebecca, my wife, formerly Rebecca Bordon, daughter of Benjamin Bordon, late of the.. county of Frederick, dec'd, and .. given by his will.. to the said Rebecca Branson. bearing date the 3rd April 1742, containing 1,000 acres.. being on one of the branches of the James River, in that part of Orange County called Augusta, is part of land formerly belonging to the said Benjamin Bordon, dec'd, and given as aforesaid unto his daughters, Abigail Worthinton, Rebecca Branson, Deborah Bordon, Lydia Bordon and Elizabeth Bordon, and not yet divided.. assigns all my estate rights unto Benjamin Bordon....
