Ship builder, aged 42, born at Caistor, Norfolk. 1861 - Living at "Private House" in Burgh Castle with wife, a cook, housemaid and gardener. Nephew Cecil BARBER (5, born at Yarmouth) is with them. Ship builder, aged 52, born at Caister, Norfolk. 1871 - Living in Branfords Road, Burgh Castle with wife. Also recorded in household are his "mother" and "brother" Ann Maria BARBER and Martin H BARBER, two domestic servants, gardener and a page. Gentleman, aged 62. 1874 - Granted probate (jointly with Gledstanes GLASSPOOLE & William WORSHIP) for the estate of his sister Rebecca GLASSPOOLE. 1881 - Widowed. Living at 2 Bradwell Road, Burgh Castle, with two sisters-in-law and four servants. Gentleman. 1881 - Probate: 17 September 1881, 8309 pounds 14/- 8d. The will, with two codicils, of Thomas, late of Burgh Castle in Suffolk, Gentleman, died 28-07-1881 at Burgh Castle, was proved at Ipswich by Womack BRANFORD of Godwick Hall Litcham Norfolk Farmer and Hamden Gledstanes GLASSPOOLE of 15 Mall-Road Hammersmith in Middlesex, Gentleman, the nephews, and William HOLT of South Quay, Gt Yarmouth, Norfolk, Gentleman. |
