Thomas Walden Bracey was born in 1897 at Graveley in Hertfordshire and baptised there on 25th July. He was the son of Laura Kate Bracey, formerly Walden, and her husband Thomas Bracey, an agricultural labourer. He appears in the 1901 census living with his parents at Pond Side in Graveley. His father died in 1904, when Thomas was only seven years old. Thomas has yet to be researched after his father's death.
