Will Transcript

In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Anderson of the County of Knox and State of Tennessee being weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory and being desirous of Disposing of all the worldly property which God in his good Providence hath blest [blessed] me with I Give the same in the manner following viz.
I[n] the first place I provide for the payment of all my Just debts and funeral expenses.
2ndly I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Ann during her lifetime or widowhood all my Land with all the Improvements belonging thereto with all my stock except such as may be hereafter named for her use and benefit and after her decease my Land to decend to my son Thomas as his own proper right in fee simple.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann a roan mare named Pigeon together with two hundred Dollars in property when she may change her condition by marriage, providing also that she shall not be entitled to the privalege [priviledge] of increasing stock upon the farm but while she lives single she is to have her Living on the farm.
I give and bequeath to my son Thomas a sorrel mare named Jolly together with a Yearling Colt.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Betsey Cunningham Twenty dollars worth of property.
I give and bequeath to the children of my Daughter Sally Sterling five dollars each in property to be paid as they come of age Except Thomas who has already received all that I allow him.
I give and bequeath to the two children of my son James Viz. Daniel Anderson & Ann Latimore Anderson five dollars eash to be paid when they come of age.
furthermore I hereby constitute and appoint my son Thomas and Samuel Flanekin Executors of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other Wills & Teswtaments by me heretofore made.
In witness wher[e]of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 1st day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one.

The Last will & Testament of Thomas Anderson Deceased having been proved and Admitted to record in which Thomas & Samuel Flanekin were appointed Executors and the said Thomas Anderson having been duly Qualified as Executors, It was ordered that Letters Testamentary Issue &c. which Letters are in the words & figures following
State of Tennessee
To all persons Greeting whereas at our County Court held for the County of Knox at the court house in Knoxville on the First Monday of October 1841 - It appeared to the Court that Thomas Anderson Lete of said County had died having first made his Last Will & Testament in which Thomas Anderson and Samuel Flenakin are appointed Executors and the said will having been proved & Admitted to record and the said Thomas Anderson Qualified as Executor, It was ordered that Letters Testamentary Issue & c.
