Thomas G. Adams
Thomas G. Adams, 89, formerly of 28 Cleveland Ave., Manor, died Sunday April 6, 1980 in Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. He was born April 23, 1890, in Shafton, a son of the late Thomas and Sarah Loughner Adams. He was an Army veteran of World War I, and was a retired gardener for the Lobe Flower Farm in North Versailles. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Manor and the Polish Club of Westmoreland City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maude Goodman Adams, on Nov. 4, 1968, and by a daughter, Mrs. Alberta Mann, in July 1977. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Charles (Jean) Miller of Westmoreland City, Betty Adams of Manor, Howard W. Saville of Auburndale, Fla., and Robert A. Saville of Brooklyn, NY., five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the E.J. Rodgers Funeral Home, 140 Race St., Manor, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., beginning 7-9 p.m. Monday. Services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Hardt officiating. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery.
