A notice found in the Decatur/Early Counties, Georgia, Newspaper Clippings, Vol. II, by Tad Evans, lists this note in the Friday, November 9, 1877, STATE NEWS [name of paper not included]: "Mr. T. R. Christian, brother of Elam Christian, of the Sparta Times, and John R. Christian of the Rome Bulletin, fell from a second story window, in Milledgeville, a few days since, and received such injuries as caused his death."
