In the 1910 census for Lodi, Bergen Co., New Jersey, Uriah Voorman is 37, born Netherlands, married once for 16 years, emigrated (1889?), brakeman for RR. His wife (Hattie?) is 37, born Netherlands, with 3 of 3 children living, emigrated (1879?). Their children are Nellie, 17; Jennie, 9; and Theodore G., 3 -- all born New Jersey. {ed 30, p. 178a} In the 1920 census for Lodi, Bergen Co., New Jersey, Uriah Voorman is 47, born Holland, emigrated 1849(?), naturalized, a conductor for railroad. His [second?] wife Myrtle is 33, born New Jersey. The children are Jane, 19, stenographer for factory; Theodore 13; and Elizabeth, 2 -- all born New Jersey. {ed 60, p.33a} In the 1930 census for Lodi, Bergen Co., New Jersey, Uriah Voorman is 54 born Holland (parents same) 'conductor railroad' with wife Myrtilla 43 born New Jersey, Theodore 23 and Elizabeth 12. He may be the Ted Voorman who married Martha Verhoeven/Verhoeve. There is a Martha Voorman listed in the SSDI, b. 11 Aug 1905, died Feb 1986 in Bergen Co. "Interested in contacting relatives of Martha and Ted Voorman of Garfield, NJ. Martha was a Verhoeve. Ted's full name was Theodore. Martha was my great-aunt. Both deceased in the 1980s. Only son, Howard, was killed in an accident in the fifties. Their estate went to a niece, name unknown.
