28 Jan 1818 Asa Fox of Adams, Jefferson Co. NY and Clarissa Ann his wife sell to Theodore Phillips of the Town and County aforesaid for the sum of $300.00 a parcel of land situate lying and being in the town of Adams bounded as follows viz on the west it is bounded on the centre of Sand Oaks, on the South (?) it is bounded on land formerly owned by Barnard M. Warren now in possession of Abraham Sheldon, on the East & North it is bounded on Able Lovelands Land containing by estimation 25 acres more or less. Witnessed by Lyman Munson (who was some sort of court official) Signed Asa Fox Clarissa Ann Fox Recorded 28 Jan 1818 at which time Clarissa Ann released dower right. and then a few days later: 4 Feb 1818 Theodore Philips and Betsy Philips his wife of Adams to Joseph Woodman for the consideration of the sum of $335.00 do sell a parcel of Land Lying and being in the Town of Rodman and village of Whilesville (Whitesville?) in the County of Jefferson and State of New York and bounded towit: beginning at the South West corner of Land formerly owned by Harvey Atwoods Land upon the highway thence south 74 degrees West 8 chains and 73 links to a stake at the corner of the highway thence S 60 degrees east 2 chains and 40 links to land formerly owned by Joseph Howell thence north 30 degrees E 4 chains and 50 links thence N 47 degrees and 6 chains and 90 links to a Maple tree thence N 81 degrees west 5 chains and 92 links on the south line of Land formerly known by Harvey Atwood upon the highway to the place of beginning supposed to contain 3 acres and 46 hundreths together with all singular appertenances.
