Johnson, Ted
92, passed away February 4 in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Born Theo Ambrose Johnson January 1, 1919 in Adrian, Ted never met a stranger. He will be remembered most for his engaging personality, quick wit and never ending sense of humor. He graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1939 and began his broadcasting career at WHRV radio. Ted had a successful 50 year career in the radio and TV industry in the Detroit and Flint markets. He retired with his wife to Florida many years ago. Ted became an avid painter until he lost his eyesight 15 years ago. He married his high school sweetheart, Ardis Renton, in 1942. His family will always remember Ted as a cheerful and kind man whose life mission was to make other people happy. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Ardis; son Jon; sister, Merta Motson; brothers, John and Bruce and many lifelong friends. Condolences can be forwarded to [email protected]
