Theodore G. Hingtgen

Services for Theodore G. "Ted" Hingtgen, 87, of 270 Bradley St., will be at 11:30 am Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by Dubuque Post 6 of the American Legion. Friends may call from 1 to 9 pm Sunday at Gene Siegert and Son Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where the scriptural wake service will be at 7 pm Sunday.

Mr. Hingtgen, who was born in Otter Creek, Iowa, died at 1:25 am Friday at Finley Hospital. He was a farmer and contractor around Otter Creek prior to 1970, when he moved to Dubuque. He was owner and operator of Ted's Antiques from 1971 until his retirement in 1981.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, the LaMotte (Iowa) Knights of Columbus, Dubuque Dubourg Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and Dubuque Post 6 of the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I.

His wife, the former Dolly McCarthy, died in 1977.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Bernadine) Geisler of Dubuque; two sons, John T. of Kieler, Wis., and Wayne J. of Dubuque; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Theodore G. Hingtgen Memorial Fund has been established.
