    Thelma Lee Crumrine
    (August 10, 1926 - January 31, 2016)

Thelma Lee Church Crumrine was born August 10, 1926, in Rose, Kansas, the daughter of George and Lola (Dixon) Church, and went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 31, 2016, at the age of 89.

Thelma was united in marriage to Elmer “Bud” Crumrine on August 10, 1944, at the First Christian Church in Yates Center, Kansas.

For most of her life she was a proud Woodson County resident but also lived in El Dorado and Hill City, Kansas, as well as Odessa, Texas. But Woodson County was always “Home”.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Bud” Crumrine, on March 7, 1993. She was also preceded by her parents; a brother, Stanley Church; and three sisters, Wilda Douglas, Doris Holderman, and Roberta Burge.

She is survived by her son, Marvin Lynn (Barbara) Crumrine of Kansas City, MO; her daughter, Gaye (Jackie) McCain of Odessa, TX; grandchildren, Sandy (B.J.) Renteria, Karissa Willhite (Marc) Gonzales, Kevin (Janae) Willhite, and DeAnna (Matt) Popilek; great-grandchildren, Kolie (Crystal) Howell, Kobie Howell, Brooke and Cash Willhite, and Kynlee and Terynn Popilek; great-great-grandchildren, Shayden, Kylee, Addy, and Weston Howell; as well as many other family members and friends.

Thelma was a Hairdresser for 27 years, a member of the First Christian Church, C.W.F., the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 13, a Hunter Safety Instructor, and was an avid supporter of the V.F.W. Thelma was a true Patriot and loved her “Red, White, and Blue”. She flew her American Flag every day and was very proud to do so.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center. Burial will follow in Yates Center Cemetery.

    There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary, #13, or the First Christian Church, Yates Center, and may be sent in care of Campbell Funeral Home.
