Mrs. John Pfeiffer, whose maiden name was Nelson, was born in Norway. She came with her parents to America and settled in Illinois in 1871, and in 1883, came to Milton Junction. In 1884 she was married to Mr. John Pfeiffer. They came to Milton in 1884 and have since resided here. After an illness of about ten days Mrs. Pfeiffer died on Tuesday morning Dec. 11th. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. T. W. North, were held in the Methodist church, Thursday Dec. 13, and the body was laid to rest in the Milton cemetery.
Mrs. Pfeiffer leaves a husband and four children, one a babe of six weeks, to mourn the loss of wife and mother.
She was a member of the Methodist church, a patient, earnest, loving Christian, a true wife and mother. A good woman has gone to her reward.
On the occasion of her funeral the church was filled with friends who came to show their respect for the dead and express their sympathy for the sorrowing family.
