[Note: it is unclear how this source knows Thankful "d. young" as no will of the father is known, no subsequent child is named Thankful, and no death date is given. There is a death record in Southborough VRs for Thankful Fay 3 Jun 1796 that might be her, but there is not enough information to know with any confidence, and since this would be age 38, it hardly seems to be dying young. (Note: one Thankful Fay, d/o John, b. 1735, m. Benjamin Parker and was deceased per her father's will of 1789. John's wife Thankful d. 1790, her death record identifying her clearly. Another Thankful Fay, d/o Reuben, b. 1793, is not mentioned in his 1811 will, so the 1796 death could be her.)]
