  1. Google search found this info, Thaddeus Beall was born in Prince Georges Co, MD before the formation of Frederick Co in 1748. They married in Frederick Co and lived as "Planters" in that part of Frederick co which became Montgomery Co in 1776. Thaddues Beall was a member of the Contiental Army & was a Brig Major in the Revolutionary War; by 20 Nov 1779, a Montgomery Co deed recites them to be of Guilford Co, NC .
  2. Served with served with George Washington during the revolutionary war. It is believed that these are the Beall's of Maryland and Brig Gen BEALL was given a land grant in NC after the war. We have reached a dead end after finding Thomas. We have one theory that he might have been Quaker and left to fight in the Revolutionary was and was disowned by his family. dbent7397@aol.com
  3. Land Grant records of NC include applications executed by Thaddeus Beall in 1779 for 6 tracts of land, granted to him in the period of Nov 1784 to May 1787 totaling 2,000 acres. These tracts were in Guilford Co.
  4. Records indicate that the last tract of property in Guilford Co was sold in 1791 and Thaddeus & Amelia moved to GA.
  5. Around 1794 Thaddeus moved his family into unsettled, virgin country then in Greene Co, Georgia, later became Hancock Co, there they lived until his death in 1808.
