Teague was transported to Northunberland Co, VA in 1655 by MatildaScarborough, daughter of Colonel Edmund Scarborough. There were 4 Tracey's living in Southern Anne Arundel and Prince George's Counties. One assumption is that they were brothers. Probably the Teague that was transported to Maryland in 1675 by John Raven. Teague was living in Herring Creek, Anne Arundel Co. when he married Mary James in 1694. Their first 4 children were born in Anne Arundel Co. The family likely moved to Baltimore Co. about 1700. Teague owned land in what is now the area of Towson State University. He was appointed overseer of Roads by Tobias Starnsborough in Nov 1709. On 19 Feb 1694 he was listed as a debtor in the inventory of John Abington, merchant, of Calvert County, Md. On 30 Mar 1699, he and wife Mary sold land called Cuckold Point in Charles County, Md. On 26 April 1703 Teague and Mary sold 100 acres James Chance to Abraham Simmons. A study of Anne Arundel land records shows that on 7 Mar 1699 Robert Paca sold to Richard James (Mary's father) 100 acres James Chance. In Jan 1706, "Thady" Tracey patented 200 acres in Baltimore County and called it James Meadows. On 9 Sep 1709, he sold 100 acres, part of James Meadows to Mordecai Price. On 10 Jun1706, he patented 100 acres Tracey's Park in Baltimore County. Mary remarried to George Hitchcock by 22 Jul 1713 when she administered Teague's estate. Since George Hitchcock was a Quaker, one could deduce that Teague may have been a Quaker as well. References
