    There is a record for a Richard Stratton, presumably his father, already in Floyd county in 1820, and the Richard Stratton page indicates Richard was in Floyd as early as 1808, therefore, this source may be incorrect as Tandy was only 8 in 1808 and was probably living with his parents at that point.
