DEATH NOTICE: On January 7, 1997 in Fairbanks, Alaska, Tamara Jean Lancaster, loving daughter of Margaret L. Lancaster. Sister of Susan L. Lancasster. Also survived by numerous relatives on the Lupton and Lancaster sides of the family. Tammy was a graduate of the University of Maryland (Horticulture Dept). A memorial service for all friends and family will be held on Sunday, January 19th at 2:00 p.m. at The Hopewell Quaker Meeting House, located on Rte 672 (Hopewell Rd), 1 mile west of Rt 81 & the Clearbrook exit, Clearbrook, Virginia (just North of Winchester, VA by a few miles).

Ceil Lancaster (Robert Lancaster's widow) informed me of this event. It seems that Tammy's truck got stuck at the bottom of the hill to her cabin. A neighbor got her home, she already was suffering with a bad cold. THe neighbor told her he would be back the next morning to help her get her truck out of the snow. But it seems she got impatient and went down there early the next morning to do it herself and they found her frozen to death.
