    Sylvia Mae Leaser, 93, Columbus, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at 5 p.m. at Hickory Creek Health Care Center.

    Born Jan. 3, 1914, in Eckerty, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Speedy and Lennie Van Winkle.

    She was a homemaker, a member of English Christian Church and a 60-year member of the Order of Eastern Star.

    Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Leaser; a son, Stanley Leaser; and two sisters, Joyce Walton and Evelyn McVay Jordan.

    Survivors include two sons, Loren Leaser of Columbus and Leon Leaser of Palmyra; a brother, Kenneth Speedy of Mifflin; four sisters, Helen Dunlap and Dorothy Byers, both of Indianapolis, Jean Buford of Huntingburg and Wanda Buford of Birdseye; and three grandchildren.

    Visitation: Sunday, Feb. 4, after 10 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English.

    Funeral: Sunday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Eckerty Cemetery.

    Officiants: The Revs. Jack Wilson and Bob Borden.
