Person:Sylvia Fletcher-Moulton (1)

Sylvia Fletcher-Moulton, you know or know about. She is Hugh's half sister. Her mother was American. She is a generation above me, though only a year older. We were at Cambridge together. She has that lovely Court House at Barcombe in Sussex near Glyndebourne. She visited us in Bangalore in 1973. She is a dear, and also a much more distinguished person than she would let you think. During the war she did air-raid work in the Midlands and was awarded a C.B.E. She was a J.P. for many years and is one of the few women churchwardens in the country.
