Sylvanus Rowlison was the son of William Rowlison and Keziah Doty. Sylvanus married twice. First wife was Nancy Parsons who died shortly after they married. His second wife was Nancy Smith. Sylvanus and Nancy had 5 known children; Nancy Jane (wife of James Brooks), Robert Smith (went to California), John S., William Doty (went to California), and James Graham (went to California).
