Was "Ingeborg" Sven Bengtsson's mother? The only reason to think so is the presence of such a woman, STB born 1713, in the 1770 household examination for his household. She might well have been his wife Judit's mother also. She does not appear in any of the following household exams, and the only death in Sandseryd that might be hers occurs only 22 Jan 1794, where she's STB age 84. If she were really related to anyone in that household, where did she spend the intervening 20 years? (We did not search for her in the household examinations generally.)

    Using www.genline.com, Rick and I searched Sandseryd household examinations 1765-1769 for Sven Bengtsson prior to marriage on 21 Nov 2004. None of the candidates found look very satisfactory, especially given that the local records do not include his marriage or the birth of his oldest child Catherina:

    page 150, GID 1127.2.44300, Sven age 28 married to Ingrid age 34. May be too old.

    page 154, GID 1127.2.44500, dr Sven aged 25 in Hedenstorp household

    page 174, GID 1127.2.45600, an S-smudge born 6 Sep 1740 who might be dotter Sara instead.

    page 216, GID 1127.2.47700, Sven born 18 Oct 1744 in a miscellaneous group, no clear household

    We did not try to find these individuals in the 1770-1774 household examinations, and instead continue to suspect Sven Bengtsson of extra-Sandseryd origins.
