[edit] ================================================Post-Standard, The (Syracuse, NY) 18 Mar 2006: DURGEE / Suzanne Shaw Durgee March 17, 2006: Suzanne Shaw Durgee, 64, of Marcellus, passed away Friday at Van Duyn Home & Hospital after a long illness. Born in Rochester, NY, she resided in Marcellus. She was a graduate of Pittsford High School and Syracuse University where she was a life member of Alpha Delta Pi National Sorority. Suzanne was an elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church and Morning Star Chapter #289 O.E.S.. She was involved with her husband in the founding of the Marcellus Food Co-op in 1975. She was predeceased by her husband, James E. Durgee, in 1989. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Durgee of Albany; sons, Stephen of New York City and Mark of Chicago; sister, Nancy Anderson of Albany; brother, William Shaw of Rochester; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends without whom life would have been impossible. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. References
