Susannah Meador, only child of John and Sarah Gregory Meador, was "crippled . . . helpless, not capable to put on her clothes or to walk." at the time of her father's death. (quoted from Essex County Will Book 6, p. 197) She was put in the care of her uncles William Bourne and James Bradbury. In the accounting of her care, a son is mentioned, probably Edward Meador, born about 1730-34. Susannah Meador bore a second child in 1753.
