Susannah King was born about 1739 in old West Augusta Co., Virginia, now Hardy Co., West Virginia, and died about 1795-1797 in Clark Co. or Montgomery Co. (from Clark Co. in 1797), Kentucky. She married first Matthew George about 1754 in Hampshire Co., VA (now Hardy Co., WV). He died in 1781 and his will was probated in 1782 in Hampshire Co. He was a plantation and slave owner. Susannah and Matthew were parents of a possible six children: Martha. Hannah, James King, King George?, George, and Matthew.

Following the death of Marrhew she married Rev.
