- ↑ No birth record is found for Susannah. No death record, and hence no age at death, has been located. She is named, as "Susannah Grout", in her father's will of 1683/84. Based on the order named in her father's will, Susannah should come between Hannah, b. 1649, and Sarah, b. 1651. But there is less than 22 months between them, not likely to be able to support Susannah's pregnancy and also Sarah's. Also Susannah's marriage appears to be {first child b. 1681) about 5 years after Hannah and about 6 years after Sarah, which may also indicate she is younger than both. So despite the order used in her father's will, the most likely birth seems to be in the gap after Sarah, before William. It turns out this is how she is handled by Bond, p. 264, as well.
