Susanhag Ellery was baptised on 1st April 1778 at St Germans in Cornwall, daughter of William and Esther Ellery.

Susannah's next sighting is in 1808 when she was a witness to the marriage of a couple named John Harry and Mary Tucker at St Stephen by Saltash. The other witness to that marriage was John Harry's brother Richard Harry. Four months later Susan married Richard Harry in the same church. They settled in Saltash and Richard worked as a gardener. They do not appear to have had any children.

In each census from 1841 to 1861 Susan and Richard were living in an area of Saltash known as Turnpike Gate. They had four lodgers living with them in the 1851 census.

Richard died in late 1865, aged 82. Susan died shortly afterwards, early in 1866. She was 87.
