Her obituary in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, June 26, 1896.
Mrs. Susanna Crumrine (nee Aller), relict of the late Isaac Crumrine, departed this life shortly after 9 o'clock Monday evening. She had been ailing for a long time and death resulted from a general breaking down of her entire system. While not unexpected her demise came as a sad blow to her relatives and friends. Mrs. Crumrine was born on the old Aller farm, near Carrollton, December 19, 1818, and has resided here all her life. Her parents, John and Christine Aller, moved to this section from Washington, Pennsylvania, before Carrollton was a town site and when all was wilderness. They were the parents of eight children, five sons and three daughters. Of these but two now survives --Mrs. Margaret Lotz of this place and John Aller of Easton, Ohio. Mrs. Crumrine and two brothers became members of the Reformed Church over sixty years ago at a time when Revs Herbruck and Keller walked from canton to organize a branch of that congregation in this section, and remained a consistent member all her life.
On October 9, 1845, she was married to Isaac Crumrine, who died about nine years ago. Of this union seven children were born, five daughters and two sons, of whom five survives; Mrs. G. H. Swift and Mrs. H. A. Kennedy of Canton; Mrs. S. J. Cameron of this place; George D. Crumrine of Akron and C. C. Crumrine of Cleveland. Her death was a peaceful one, in happy correspondence with her long and continued Christian life. Her funeral services were conducted Thursday at 10 o'clock Rev. Beam of the reformed Church officiating.
