Susan Davidson was the daughter of Thomas & Margaret (McGarrah) White a wife of Bluford Davidson. She was married to him for near 10 years before his untimely death in 1848. She was left to care for 6 children with the help of her family and the Davidson family. In 1855 the Bedford County Court assigned a Guardian of her underage children which was a common practice. Susan never remarried. Before she passed she was living with her daughter Tennie (Tennessee Virginia Davidson) Farrar and her husband Lucius Augustus "Gus" Farrar. She outlived two of her children of which both are buried near her.
