    Mrs. Susan L. Crandall was born in Alfred, N. Y., in 1830, and died in Albion, Wis., Sept. 19, 1897.
    She was the daughter of John and Lovinia Wells Stillman. Her father's family were among the pioneer settlers in Southern Wisconsin, locating in the town of Milton in 1839. June 7, 1847, she was united in marriage with Clark G. Crandall, who survives her. She also leaves two children, Prof. Charles Crandall, of Milton Junction, now teaching in Albion, and Miss Hattie Crandall, a teacher in Albion Academy. When but a child she gave her heart to the Saviour and united with the First Alfred church. Her membership was in the Albion church at the time of her death. She was a consistent Christian. In the absence of Pastor Witter, Pastor G. W. Burdick conducted the funeral services, Sept. 22. G. W. B.
