Notes for SUSAN MALONEY:

The source for the information on Susan and Lorenzo is Lillian Maloney, including the following note.

"SUSAN MALONEY born July 3, 1809 or 1811 in Kentucky. She died after June 1880 in Wolfe County, Kentucky. She married LORENZO DOW LANDSAW on Jan. 1, 1832 in Morgan County, KY. He was born Jan. 1813 in present Wolfe County and died Jan. 20, 1906 in Wolfe County. He is buried in an unmarked grave in the George Miller Cemetery also known as the Shackelford Cemetery near Mary in Wolfe County on Lower Devil's Creek. A son of William Landsaw and Elizabeth Murphy."

"They first went to house keeping on the head of Stillwater on land inherited from his father. He later sold this land to William L. Hurst, his nephew. He then purchased a farm on Hunting Fork of Holly Creek in Wolfe Country, where he lived till a few years before his death. He never married again. He finally quit housekeeping and lived among his children and kinfolks. At the time of his death he was visiting at the home of George W. Miller. Lorenzo made the trip from Campton to Miller's on horseback, a distance of eight or nine miles. The weather was very cold and a heave snow was on the ground. He caught cold and died about two days later, at the age of 92 years. Non of his children or relatives knew of his death till after he was buried by Miller and some of his neighbors. To Susan and Dow were born seven Daughters and three sons."

Additional note: George W. Miller (husband to Sidney Maloney) is Lorenzo's brother in law.
